Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute services from two hospital sites, with a total of about 1300 beds. It serves a population of approximately 1.2 million, and provides a wide range of tertiary services. As a major employer in the area (approximately 8000 staff) the Trust is committed to continuous development to provide the highest possible quality of care. There are close links with the Hull York Medical School and a commitment to teaching and research is encouraged.
Already a vibrant and dynamic city, Hull’s vision is to be one of the UK’s top ten destinations for shopping, art, sport, leisure and, most importantly, living. A huge amount has already been spent on creating new shopping centres, waterfront living spaces, art studios and visitor attractions. It is no wonder that Hull was awarded the UK city of culture 2017 and within the next 5 years the city will benefit from over £250 million of investment. Outside of the city there is a diverse coastline with award winning beaches and beautiful countryside all on the doorstep. Housing is plentiful and affordable and there is a good selection of high quality schools.
